The intersection in front of the Chevron building in Houston has a wonderful, circular walkway 20 feet or so above the street which connects the buildings on all four corners of the junction. This is another shot taken there but looking not at the Chevron building but one of the others close by. As with my previous post, this is a tone mapping from a single NEF file.

This is likely to be the last of the Houston Skyscraper series for now since I've run out of material. Mind you, given that I only had 30 minutes to take these and that 4 of the set have made it into Explore, I guess I shouldn't be too worried :-)

Continuing the theme, here is another view of some of the buildings of downtown Houston. The reflective building is the Wells Fargo tower.
This is a single exposure with the raw file processed in Photomatix to dramatically accentuate the texture. The sky in the original looked pretty blank but it's remarkable how much detail I could pull out of it via the tone mapping.

I posted this on my photoblog a few days ago but I like it too much to leave it off Flickr so here's the mono HDR version of my Chevron Tower picture from last weekend's trip down to Houston. This is a 3 exposure, handheld HDR merged in Photoshop and tone mapped in Photomatix.

The building was previously the headquarters of Enron but is now occupied by Chevron.

You really want to look at this large on black.

I would greatly appreciate your vote in the 2012 Photoblog Awards. Thanks!

The Wells Fargo Tower in Houston has another rather nice horizontal ring above the entrance intended, obviously, to act as a frame for photographers taking pictures of the building.
