User / Baz Richardson - often away / Farm gate in Dentdale, Yorkshire Dales
Baz Richardson / 12,095 items
Dentdale was once part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, but since 1974 has been part of Cumbria. However, it is still within the boundaries of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

I think it is one of the prettiest dales with rich farmland at the bottom of the dale where the River Dee flows through it. The dale is named after its main settlement, the village of Dent, rather than - as in a number of cases - the river. This is the north-western end of the dale, near the town of Sedbergh.

This is for Judy. She likes wooden farm gates!
