Yesterday morning, 22 June 2021, I went with a few friends for a 3-hour birding walk at Carburn Park. Since 10 June 2021, outdoor social gatherings are allowed to have up to 20 people with distancing (indoor social gatherings still not permitted). Everyone wore a mask. We always break up into small groups. The last walk I went on was on 8 June, in South Glenmore Park. I only took a handful of photos yesterday, as most birds were very distant (on the river). The most interesting bird was a lone Snow Goose. There was some discussion as to whether it could possibly be a domestic Goose, but Snow Goose seems correct to me. We also saw twin White-tailed fawns - far away, but so beautiful.

After the walk, I decided to do a short drive east of the city, seeing as I was already part way there. It was so hot yesterday, getting up to 33C (91.4F)m so I was thankful to spend a few hours with my car air-conditioning. Starting on Friday 27th June, we are going to be in another heat wave, getting as high as 37C (98.6F). Not pleasant, without air-conditioning! The whole of the following week will be in the very high 20Cs, unless the forecast changes before then. Routine dental appointment this afternoon, so at least I will be out of the heat.
