A Gambel's Quail (Callipepla gambelli) on the grounds of the Cave Creek Ranch in Cave Creek Canyon near Portal, Arizona, USA.

Many years this species seems to skip right over our "Neck of the Woods" or I somehow just miss them, but this beautiful warbler was quite bountiful during this year's spring migration.
Not as tack-sharp as I like, but none-the-less a great bird and worth posting.
