Hankyu Railway is a private company with a network between Kyoto and Kobe. From their own station in Osaka (Umeda) three lines are departing each of them having a double track till the next station (Juso). Six tracks and there’s hardly a minute one can’t see a train leaving or coming.

Hankyu Railway is een absolute topper aangaande een particuliere spoorwegmaatschappij en bedient een eigen netwerk tussen Kyoto and Kobe. Vanaf het HR station in Osaka (Umeda) vertrekken drie lijnen die tot aan het eerste station Juso hun eigen dubbelsporige baan hebben. Zes sporen dus en er gaat geen minuut voorbij of men ziet wel een trein.

Japan means making the most out of the available space. Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe is one big (concrete) agglomeration with ample room for any nature wherein the train must find his way.

Alles in Japan is dicht bebouwd. Kyoto, Osaka en Kobe zitten nagenoeg aan elkaar vast. Ook hier is het voor de trein kruip door, sluip door.
