December 26th. Ah, the celebrated lake district. Derwentwater. lakes, beautiful scenery, snow on mountain tops and mad children doing YMCA on the much photographed jetties. If it is any consolation, many of the other photographers thought this was funny too (the children are mine for copyright reasons!). Comments includes the arty non kids shot.
Happy Boxing Day. We went to see Swallows and Amazons at the Keswick theatre.

December 13th. I look quite calm in this twofer (selfie for the 365 and cliche for the 52; yes it's the camera in the mirror shot). However not calm at all. Every year we have a curry night for a few friends, this started off quite small as a way to meet people when we moved here. Now we have about 100 people coming for food which we have cooked today (we both took the day off as leave). To be honest my lovely hubby cooked and I cleaned! Now very tired. Time for shower and party!

December 17th. It's a bit pushed for the theme but I am running out of time on everything. I love getting cards from friends and family and I try hard to send as well.

December 31st. Going out with a whimper not a bang.
Happy new year to all my Flickr pals. Thankyou so much for all you encouragement and support over the year; this year has been so much harder but I have enjoyed it more in terms of the discipline and all the different techniques and processes. I have learnt so much and made such good connections to many amazing people.
Next year I am doing 100x shots. I am going to concentrate my commenting to the group in order that I also have life outside of Flickr this year.

December 18th. We're not a telly family so the kids play cards. This is a firm family favourite. I didn't set this up. This is how it was left last night and I took the shot this morning. They can play cards, but can they put them away?
