December 31st - out tonight to a Bond evening. Can't wait. I was hoping to do something dramatic today but weather unremittingly nasty so we've spent the day in clearing up the christmas bomb and cooking (#2's famous Brownies;#3 butternut squash soup; #4 pasta pepperonata sauce. # 1 gets supper tomorrow!) Looking forward to the challenges of 2013. with love to all of you and yours.

January 6th. So, a challenge from one of my projects is water drop refraction, which i have never done before and is hard. I spent a happy 30 mins in my garden taking pics of wet things ( we have a lot of wet in Cornwall) and did manage to get a decent drop refraction. I was so pleased ( you're welcome to go see in my stream).
However this was the shot of the day for me. Virtually unedited, exposure up a little in Snapseed only. For the 52 projects this may be early but I will do my 52s on a sunday to allow me to stay less confused!

January 15th. I had a spare half hour at work. My rings were on my desk,I have to take them off in the day, so I put them on some white paper. I have never done jewellery before. additionally I am quite impressed with the level of macro in this point and shoot. I have desaturated this slightly, lighting was light though the window, but not cropped. I think this is pretty minimalistic too. I was pleased with this so will be using for my non themed 52s (week 3). Oh yes and the title? My wedding ring was my nans, my engagement ring was made from a brooch belonging to my mother in law and the silver ring was bought new for me by my hubby.
