Just because we had no electricity yesterday
didn't mean the camera wouldn't work ;-)---
So here's the deal on yesterday, It Really Sucked !
The boiling heat and high humidity was unbearable !
And without the fans moving the air around it's like
being trapped inside a sauna ! We have no AC ;-0
Now it is what it is so the only recourse is to find
some place to catch a small bit of breeze, and
that place is right here. It's the building with
the kitchen attached. It's an open air area.
I lit a Bic lighter and the flame didn't even move !
But, on occasion a small waft of breeze would
come up from the river giving temporary yet
short relief at best. What I did was layout a
thin piece of fabric on the ground with a
small pillow for some comfort. Now the
big party began. Mr Monkey decided
that we are to share said blanket
and he was to also clean my
ears/head/shoulders and
eyeballs ;-)- It was wild.
Mr Little Larry The Pipsqueak AKA The Monkey
is so much fun to have living with us. But, lets
not forget, The Monkey is Ninas dog, and
she supports his upkeep every month.
Mr Monkey won the K9 lottery ;-)-
One more thing to remember -
I am simply the K9manservant.
OK, lets get back to the weather.
Here's how it works around these parts.
6:AM daylight starts, 6:PM nighttime starts.
So just about 5:30PM the wind starts blowing.
By 5:43PM the wind is bending the trees over.
By 5:59PM it starts raining, by 6:07PM it's really
raining, nothing short of horizontal monsooning.
Thunder, lightning, heavy winds and wild rains !
Around midnight-thirty +/- or so it began to calm.
But the rain continued on until daylight appeared.
Soon, it will be noon-o'clock on the 10th of May.
Electricity has been restored and the fans are working.
Maybe yes, maybe no, but the plan is to once again
go over to the mud cobra field as soon as possible.
Nurse nun has been real sick and muscle nun
is using her oxygen tank 24/7 so that means
at some point we need to get back out to
the temple to care for them and give
all the temple dogs their shots.
There's never enough time, we need a 9 day week
and a 30 hour day. That gives me more time to nap.
