I have sooo missed my camera these past months! Life has led me elsewhere lately...
As artists our view through the lens is an invaluable tool..an extension of ourselves ... always ready to capture inspiration where ever it may be..
Today was 'self teach' day for me, iPad and paper in hand we worked on using MANUAL ONLY with available lighting !!
I LOVE MANUAL !!
and having more control of the end result... especially if it doesn't fit into the "artistic vision" of what the image was in your head... not to mention less time in post-production!!
A win-win no matter how you look at it!

Did you realize that the Golden Hour actually happens twice a day? The hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset...I saw this scene early one morning a few days back and had to run and capture the light..or maybe I should say the interruption of light due to the Hummingbird nectar that was inviting him into the garden..His movement caught my eye interrupting that golden glow...talk about NATURES ART!!! A painting that changes every day ..even if in the same spot..its all about the light! Wishing one and all the GOLDEN HOUR very day and the time to enjoy it!!!
