I spotted this Great Horned Owl in Cottonwood Island Park in Prince George, BC. I have been told that there are two youngsters inside that hole. They should be there for at least a couple of months, so hopefully I can get some better pictures in the next few weeks.

We took our grandsons to the Vancouver Zoo this afternoon and I brought my camera just in case. I much prefer to photograph animals in the wild. Anyhow, this picture was taken through a chain link fence which is quite tricky. I've looked very hard to find any trace of the fence, so I'm quite happy with how this pictured turned out.

While walking at Cottonwood Island this afternoon I lucked out and saw this coyote sitting by a pond full of ducks. They didn't appear to be concerned with his presence, but they alsi didn't go too close to shore.

I went to go for a walk an hour ago and forgot to take my hiking shoes. So I pulled out of the parking lot and noticed this Grey Fox across the street.
