Мы постепенно двигались в сторону основной точки съемки, до рассвета оставался примерно час. Туман продолжал сгущаться и на сильном морозе мы целиком покрылись инеем. Ярко светила полная луна, на рассвете она стала оранжевой. Все это создавало отличные условия для съемки. Времени было полно и мы особо не торопились, фотографировали всякое. Это один из таких снимков, ничего особенного, просто туманный рассвет.

We gradually moved towards the main shooting point, about an hour remained until dawn. The fog continued to thicken and in the bitter cold we were completely covered with frost. The full moon shone brightly, turning orange at dawn. All this created excellent conditions for shooting. There was plenty of time and we were not particularly in a hurry, taking pictures of everything. This is one of those shots, nothing special, just a hazy sunrise.

В прошлые выходные мы отправились в Карелию и это была прекрасная поездка, наполненная разными событиями. Забегая вперед могу сказать, что мы наслаждались тишиной, слушали как трещит лед Ладожского озера, слушали его дыхание, катались по шхерам на аэролодке, снимали рассветы и закаты и, конечно же, вели дружеские бесседы за ужином. Пока мы выезжали из шумного города, где шел дождь и было невероятно тепло для конца января, мы думали, как нас встретит Карелия. А встретила нас Карелия с улыбкой - улыбкой Ладожского озера.

Last weekend we went to Karelia and it was a wonderful trip filled with different events. Looking ahead, I can say that we enjoyed the silence, listened to how the ice of Lake Ladoga cracked, listened to its breathing, rode around the skerries on an airboat, filmed sunrises and sunsets and, of course, had friendly conversations over dinner. While we were driving out of the noisy city, where it was raining and incredibly warm for the end of January, we thought about how Karelia would meet us. And Karelia met us with a smile - the smile of Lake Ladoga.

Пока я стоял и ждал хорошего света, не мог избавиться от мысли, как растут на голых скалах эти сосны, чем они питаются, за что цепляются корнями. А тем временем случился очень красивый закат, яркий, оранжевый свет залил эти древние каменюки и мы бегали как сумасшедшие, пытаясь заснять их с разных точек. Вот что из этого вышло.

While I stood and waited for good light, I could not get rid of the thought of how these pines grow on bare rocks, what they eat, what they cling to with their roots. In the meantime, a very beautiful sunset happened, a bright, orange light flooded these ancient stones and we ran like crazy, trying to photograph them from different points. Here's what came out of it.

Завершающий день этой поездки выдался хмурым, небо было затянуто тучами, иногда шел снег. Но мы все равно решили заехать к озеру и попрощаться. Несколько предыдущих недель были очень теплыми и бухта оказалась с открытой водой, а по берегу были разбросаны льдины. Даже в пасмурную погоду они выглядели потрясающе...


The final day of this trip turned out to be gloomy, the sky was covered with clouds, sometimes it snowed. But we decided to stop by the lake and say goodbye anyway. The previous few weeks had been very warm and the bay was with open water and ice floes scattered along the shore. Even in cloudy weather they looked amazing...

Север стал своего рода наркотиком для меня, если долго туда не выбираюсь, то меня начинает подламывать. Поэтому когда выдались долгие выходные, особо не раздумывал, собрал вещи и уехал в горы. Хоть я и понимал, что снимать там особенно нечего зимой, меня это не останавливало. Выходные я провел замечательно, катался на снегоходе, отсыпался и иногда выходил поснимать рассвет. Вот результат одной из таких вылазок.


The North has become a kind of drug for me, if I don’t go there for a long time, then it starts to break me down. Therefore, when it was a long weekend, I didn’t think much, packed my things and went to the mountains. Although I understood that there was nothing special to shoot there in winter, this did not stop me. I had a wonderful weekend, riding a snowmobile, sleeping and sometimes going out to shoot the sunrise. Here is the result of one of these outings.
