Hi Folkes,

My girlfriend and I visited Radio Kootwijk on The day of Monumental Buildings. So we got inside for free. Normally you have to gather a group and send a request for a visit.

Radio Kootwijk was build for radio transmission especially for longer distances. In 1929 Queen Emma had contact with Dutch East Indies for the first time. The spoke with the legendary words: “Hello Bandoeng Hello Bandoeng! Can you hear me?".

When we left the building one thing just caught my eye.
The doors! Love it!

Well I was just taking a break from my photo walk. And from the distance this man came across the street. I personally think that he and the store behind him do match perfectly. Like it's the 40's all over. One thing for sure he is in a hurry.

Love this panorama! It has such great detail. We went for a walk to the north on our city trip to Antwerp. The weather was way to nice for that time of the year. We stopped for some ice cream at a small park. This was the view we had. Great isn't it?
