Architect Henry J. Knauer designed the Mediterranean Revival style house for inventor Jacques Rousso as a speculative investment in 1919.. The home was purchased by screenwriter Joshua Roth in 2010. Located at 525 Sotuh Irving Boulevard in the Windsor Square HPOZ (Historic Preservation Overlay Zone) of Los Angeles.

Architect Henry J. Knauer designed the English Revival style house for Cornelius P. and Helen Hargis Hill in 1923. The architect also designed the Streamline Moderne apartment house located at 4230-4234 Franklin Avenue. Located at 2001 N. Hobart Boulevard in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Owner B.F. Warner had Architect Henry J. Knauer design the Colonial Revival style apartments in about 1938. The architect was active in the area; he also designed the French Normandy style apartment complex located at 4124-4128 Los Feliz Boulevard in 1941. Located at 1957-1961 N. Kenmore Avenue in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. The little known architect was active in the area for at least two decades. Other known commissions include an English Revival style house for Cornelius P. and Helen Hargis Hill (1923); a Streamline Moderne apartment house located at 4230-4234 Franklin Avenue; a Colonial Revival style apartment complex for B.F. Warner (1938) and a French Normandy style apartment complex at 4124-4128 Los Feliz Boulevard (1941).

Architect Henry J. Knauer designed the French Normandy style apartment building for Jack L. Kosminsky in 1941. Kosminsky was born in Pennsylvania in 1904. In Los Angeles he was a real estate broker. He died in Los Angeles on September 12, 1949 and was buried at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Los Feliz Boulevard remains one of Los Angeles' loveliest streets. Between Riverside Drive and Hillhurst Avenue, stylish apartment complexes are the predominant feature. Continuing west, the promenade shifts to elegant mansions set back from the street. The architect was active in the area; he also designed a Colonial Revival triplex for B.F. Warner located at 1957-1961 North Kenmore Avenue in 1938. Located at 4124-4128 Los Feliz Boulevard in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.

Architect Henry J. Knuaer designed the Streamline Moderne style apartment building for the Kaven Travel Agency in 1939. The thirties marked the high-water mark of the Streamline Moderne movement; this handsome apartment building in Los Feliz incorporates the signature elements of the style, including porthole windows, curving rooflines wth matching ship style railings, and horizontal bands of windows.
