Tommy Smith and Brian Kellock ar both from Edinburgh. This duo gig was a contrast to the previous occasions I've seen these musicians. With Smith it has been as part of the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra (apart from once in a Sextet) and always in concert halls. I've also seen Kellock with the SNJO, John's Rae's Magic Feet and accompanying Sheila Jordan [for photos of the latter click on his name in my tags]. Here they played mostly tunes from the 1920s to 40s, apart from a couple by Michael Legrand and one by Chick Corea.
