Jenna Reid, her sister Bethany Reid and Harris Playfair are all from the Shetland Islands. Since 2010 she has been a member of Blazin' Fiddles. I last saw her (apart from a few tunes at the 2010 Young Traditional Musician of the Year 10th Birthday Bash) at the 2006 Festival - both under her own name and with Filska (who I also saw the previous year). Around the same time I saw her in Edinburgh and London with Dòchas. However the only one of the group I've photographed before is Kevin Mackenzie - in a duo with Steve Hamilton in his parallel Jazz career (to view click on the tag of his name). The performance started with a series of duos - Jenna with Bethany (on piano), then Kevin and then Harris. Finally the four of them together (Bethany now playing the fiddle).
