Part of the UK Chinese Music Ensemble network, this group was established in 2006. Whilst all the instruments they play are traditional Chinese ones, they are but normally found together in this combination. The group was formed with the aim of playing more challenging contemporary pieces. I have taken photos of Cheng Yu with the London Youlan Qin Society and of her and Zhao Jinyan with the Silk and Bamboo Ensemble (to view click on the tag of their names).
