Mulele Matondo was born in the Congo, lived in Zambia and Zimbabwe before moving to the UK. He has played with theband Harare (though not either of the times I’ve seen them). His music combines dance rhythms with lyrics about “real life” and “real problems” he calls “conscious music”.
