Year of the Dragon: April
This month I decided to take inspiration from one of my favourite birds, the bearded vulture. They're an incredibly striking animal and I stayed fairly true to the source for the head design on this one. The body plan however is mostly inspired by that of an archaeopteryx or other similar, more avian dinosaurs. It's far and away the biggest of the monthly dragons so far, and was a great excuse for me to use all of these dark red and black fur/feather parts I've been hoarding for years. Hope you all like the finished build!

Year of the Dragon: March
The third in my monthly dragon series. This one is inspired by various species of nudibranch or sea slug. They almost always have striking bright colours and intricate patterning on their bodies, some species already look like dragons honestly.
This dragon is a little silly with his stalk eyes and chubby arms, and I think he's a lot of fun. Was a great excuse use the cloth skin technique I've done in the past with these water dragon wings too. Hope you all like it!

Two down! This month's dragon is inspired by the Luna Moth! So many moth species are really beautiful and otherworldly, an energy that I really wanted to capture going into this build.
I'm pretty happy with how she turned out, and I'm particularly proud of the technique for the wings, really gets that nice marbled effect that regular bricks wouldn't have achieved
Stay tuned for more dragons!

After about six months of planning, building and waiting for Bricklink orders, it's finally done. This is by far the largest project I've ever attempted at home and a tribute to an amazing scene from my all time favourite movie. I had an absolute blast making it.
The diorama is about 1 metre wide and about half that tall and features No-Face chasing Chihiro through the hallways of Yubaba's bath house. As well as lots of other fun details and chaos happening around them.
If you've never seen Spirited Away, you're missing out and I really cannot recommend it enough.
Enormous thank you to Loafbuilds as always for working absolute magic with the edits of these photos. He really did this thing justice. (He's also a phenomenal builder so check him out)
