At an altitude of 194 meter above the Elbe, the rock plateau offers a beautiful view of the winding Elbe, several table mountains and a large part of the Ore Mountains.

A wide 2:1 panoramic view from a sunrise at the Civita di Bagnoregio, a remote village in the municipality of Bagnoregio in the province of Viterbo, Lazio, in central Italy. The only access is a footbridge from the nearby town of Bagnoregio. Due to its unstable foundation that often erodes, Civita is known as "the dying city". The Civita di Bagnoregio is located in a crater landscape, called the 'Valle dei Calanchi'.
