The observation deck on 'The View at the Palm' (at a 240m height) is wide and they have tall curved glass panels that flare out. In front of that more glass panels to prevent people from leaning on the glass panels behind that. For photographers it is pretty shitty as the glass reflects light and there is a polarizing blue tint on it. It's no good.

This is some 20km from the Saudi Arabia border in Liwa and is called Rub' al Khali or Empty Quarter, part of the Arabian Desert.
Why Empty Quarter? If you walk straight here, you'll encounter only sand for another 800km. I kid you not! You'll end up in Yemen and the Gulf of Aden.
