Tredegar House is an architectural wonder of Wales and one of the most significant late 17th century buildings in the whole of the Britain.
The earliest documented owner is Llewelyn ap Morgan, who was alive in 1402, whilst in 1540 John Leland mentions "a very faire place of stone", called Tredegar. Meanwhile Charles I and his retinue visited the house in 1645, which indicates the importance of the property.
Tredegar House is largely a creation of the late 17th century: between 1664 - 1672 it was rebuilt on a palatial scale when a sequence of state rooms was incorporated into the building. At this time the estate comprised 1,000 acres, of which 90 acres remain today.

IN THE HAY MEADOW

In the hay meadow she sits
Amongst the flora and fauna
Gazing at a wild orchid
Delicate purple colour

They say , that she is like me,
Searching for hidden magic
Preferring own company
But having some special friends

Years roll back to distant past
When that time seemed to stand still
But the moment did not last
Only the meadow of old

MOUNTAINS OF MYSTERY

Giant mountain peaks like sentinels
Crowned with iced feathered clouds

Dancing , gliding mass of chaos
Diving and climbing like buzzard flight

Exposing windows of greenery
Growing , hanging on vertical sides

Plunging to blue black waters
Simmering and mirroring skies

Here in this air , troll spirits
Haunt and hide in glaciated hills.

Surviving in the wilderness
Entombed for ever in this place.
