I found this 2-3mm little thing on a rock in a remote rainforest in the Otways and I thought it was some strange snail - the Otway Ranges do have a much larger carnivorous snail, but on closer inspection it was just some hardened sap from a tree :(
Still it looked good!.

the Australian bull-ants can be quite nasty little things - their bite is not only painful, but many are allergic to it and some can die from anaphylaxis.
