This covered bridge is one of a few left in Santa Cruz County. It's maybe 10 minutes at most from home.

Last fall I did a half-marathon length run in Nisene Marks State Park. To get to Sand Point Overlook, it was a very long run. It was well worth it.

Further down the path, I was probably only halfway to my car. I had parked down in Aptos where I had cellphone coverage. I called an Uber and had them drive me up to the trailhead, 13.5 trail miles away.

Taken last fall during a sunset run near Davenport Beach. Someone had sprinkled marigolds on the beach. Loved the color splash in the sand.
