"Austin" is the monumental last work by renowned American artist Ellsworth Kelly (1923-2015). In 2015. Kelly gifted to the Blanton the design concept for the 2,715 sq. ft. stone structure with luminous colored glass windows. The only building that the artist designed, "Austin" was completed in 2018. It is a permanent installation and part of the permanent collection of the Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas.

The interior of this space resembles a Romanesque church. The building has a regular cruciform shape--two intersecting barrel vaults that create a Latin cross plan.
