I was visiting the Oregon coast for a weekend. I had seen photos of this site online and decided to see what I could capture during my brief one-night stay in Lincoln City.
The clouds made me think it was going to be a no show, but right at the last minute the sun popped it's head out for just a few minutes and gave me just the opportunity I was hoping for :)

Sunrise on Biri Island, Samar, Philippines. Nice smoothing of the ocean waves possible with a tripod and nice ND filter + polarizer, a little tricky since the RX100 doesn't come with support for lens filters ;-)

On the El Nido island hopping tour "B" we stopped at this breathtaking location. The ocean currents create a natural sand bridge between two islands. People, and even dogs, use this sandbar. They call the island "Snake Island" because the sand bar is shaped like a snake.

We were told that lots of jellyfish live in the shallow waters near here because of the types of vegitation on the banks.

We had to climb down (and back up) this ice waterfall. It was not easy. There is lots of loose rock and debris making the climb life threatening. You only see part of it here. It's probably 70 feet tall in total.

One of the most serene places I've ever been. Mist in the air, deer quietly wandering around, cherry blossoms sprinkled all over the ground and not a sole to be seen. I just stood there and admired the place for a good 10 minutes before moving on.
