I find sometimes that the details get in the way. Too many sharp lines, fine details, hard edges, etc. I may not want to sit there and stare at the leaves, or the pattern of bark in the tree, or whatnot. I mean, sometimes I do want to stare at these things, but then there are times that I want to experience the swath of a color, or a field of light, or the interplay between a dark shadow and the brighter highlights clustered around it and the soft forms that come from those pairings. A moment can be just about color. Sometimes I enjoy the impressions of a place and don't need to muddy them up with all the fine details.
