During my recent visit to Northern Scotland in October for the fall colors, I flew into Glasgow and after picking up my rental car, I headed north.

On the first two days, I meet up with one of Scotland's finest photographer's Jenny Cameron and visited a number of sites as she know's the country like the back of her hand. The first site we visited was the Kilchurn Castle nestled among the nearby mountains.

From day 3 onward, I was on my own as Jenny had to take off and Stanko the drone pilot had to get back to the airport.

So for my first sunrise by myself, I visited this iconic site which is definitely on the list of places Jenny and I will be taking those in the mid-October 2020 workshop we are collaborating on.

The great thing is that you see many scenes like this with breaks in the clouds with the light hitting the mountains and countryside like this. It's just amazing to see and photograph.

Another thing I liked about Scotland were the waterfalls and often you have the place all to yourself.
