Here is one of many Teton sunsets I took during the spring of 2014 while leading one of my two spring wildflower 3 day sunrise to sunset photo shoot adventure tours in Jackson Hole, WY (USA). I took my two photography workshop groups to this site and everyone absolutely love the lupines here with the sunset.

This past early March 2022 I made my second trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina along the ocean to photograph the Milky Way rising in the eastern sky.

The first morning I went further south to a site I've been wanting to shoot a time lapse of the Milky Way rising over the ocean and I'm happy to say I accomplished that.

▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

Looking at my PhotoPills app on my iPhone, given what phase the moon is in over the last week in May, I will be returning to the ocean along the Outer Banks of North Carolina for more Milky Way phototography.

The one good thing about this is that the core of the Milky Way is now rising above the eastern horizon around 11:30pm, give or take.
