First try out photographing motor sport with new lens...

Much more difficult to get consistently sharp in focus shots than I initially thought.
Shooting through wire fences most of the time made focussing a lot more difficult, add in the speed these cars were going I'm pleasantly surprised to get a few images of this quality.

Straight shot with just some cropping and level adjustments, what I didn't see till processing the images of this view was a heat haze distorting the following cars.

A moments lapse of concentration and one of the cars veers onto the gravel, I saw the cloud of dust go up into the air so kept the shutter pressed hoping to get something.

Couldn't believe my luck on seeing this image afterwards, the car did eventually get back onto the track intact but showered the tarmac with lots of stones and dust.
