I thought I would take a break from the Eastern State Penitentiary photos and post something a bit more, bright. Actually this was the last photo I took from Philly, most of the time we were there it was overcast and I chose to hold out on doing any shots of the Love Sculpture until there was a pretty sky. I didn't think I was going to get the chance but when we left the Reading Terminal Market from breakfast the skies broke and I finally got my shot.

The "Love Sculpture" was placed in JFK Plaza as part of the celebration of America's bicentennial in 1976, and was removed in 1978, after some negative feedback over the removal, the sculpture was returned to it's place later that year and has become an iconic part of Philadelphia.
