Just as the pandemic really began to take over our lives, I got to visit a privately owned waterfall located in Wolfe County, Kentucky! I had seen a video of the falls in the Kentucky Waterfalls, Arches and Landscapes group on Facebook and asked the land owner how he would feel if I could shoot the falls and we worked something out. A month or so later myself and good friend Adam Thompson drove down to shoot the falls. To be honest you I was not ready for the size or the beauty of what awaited us. A 35 - 40 foot two tier waterfall in a beautiful boulder strewn grotto and to top it off, a cabin. Yes a cabin. I was completely blown away. This is an upper view of the falls, a place I could spend hours. The Freedom Falls Cabin is available for rent via Red River Gorge Getaways. I'll be honest, it's a pretty sweet set up.
