Last week I finally got fed up with watching a series of several incredible sunsets out my kitchen window and decided to make my first trip up to my favorite sunset spot, Doe Run Lake in South Covington Ky. Upon arrival I was surprised to see how low the water was in the lake, I knew they lowered it in winter to help with flood control on nearby Banklick Creek but it was a lot lower than expected. Making lemonade out of lemons I found a nice little conglomeration of rocks lakeside to set up at and let mother nature do the rest, and boy did she!
