I was pretty amazed when I hiked the short trail down to Roughlock Falls as in my opinion it's one of the most beautiful falls I've ever seen. Unfortunately perspectives of the falls are limited to the observation boardwalk which I would nomally hop over and go anywhere I wanted but in this case I read the area around the falls is very susceptible to erosion so in respect for those who come after me I stayed put. I had read somewhere that the falls had receded 300 ft. upstream in the last 300 years. The falls is about 50 ft. in height and although the closest you can get to the falls is about 150 ft. the foreground cascade really set it off for me.
