I was exploring the forest along Salmon River this morning when I spotted another one of these beautiful Woodpeckers. This guy didn't seem too bothered by me getting so close to him.
I would have liked to keep exploring these beautiful woods, full of giant rocky cliffs and beautiful hemlock tree's..but it's hunting season here in Canada and I didn't like how close the gun shots were getting. I'll head back to these woods in the spring most likely, when I don't get confused for a deer..

These little guys make the most heart warming sounds ever, and their movements are adorable (They wobble as they frantically run around trying to catch bugs and minnows). It was the first time I ever seen a Sandpiper and I wanted to take this one home with me.
I'd crop this down a bit so you could see him without having to zoom in on him, but I thought the setting was nice too.
Taken at Powells Point provincial park in Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada.
