We hiked over 11 miles just for this picture. Before our trip, we used "Planit for photographer" app to plan a date and composition. We also used "Windy" to check the weather. Also we had a lot of clouds during sunset, we knew they would go away at night. So, after beautiful sunset shooting, we were waiting there patiently. Sure enough, we got this magnificent milky way arch as well:-)

This photo was stitched by using two rows of pano shots. One is for milky way and another one is for foreground. The foreground was taken during blue hour.
