Due to record flooding and rockslides unleashed by unprecedently heavy rain and melty snow, Yellowstone National Park was forced to close entirely on June 13th for the first time in 34 years. The south loop was reopened to the public on June 22nd.

Thunder and Lightning falls are the two cascades flowing from the Albert River (behind) and Lightning creek (in front) at the end of a spectacular canyon called the Black Canyon in Lamington National Park. It takes some effort to get there but well worth it for the views!
