I called this one quantity before quality because of the subject matter. The rut is over, and I have to say that this particular buck had a somewhat bewildered look on his face as he took a peek back at me before bolting into reeds and disappearing. One antler has fallen off and I’m sure the other one will be lost in short order. The lighting wasn’t the best, but I thought the content of the photo was worth posting since we don’t often see a deer with one horn. White-tailed deer captured on Horsepen.


Also wanted to give everyone an update on Georgia’s condition. She finished here therapy sessions and is doing well. All we have to do now is see if we can keep the infections away or take action a bit earlier in order to keep them from becoming critical. We still have a home health nurse that stops by regularly to check on her, but it will be up to us to spot the early warning signs. Just hope we can keep her healthy.
