One of the Great Blue Herons that hangs out in the taller branches of the trees on Horsepen Bayou!! He like to announce to everyone around that there is someone on the bayou when he departs squawking all the way!!! Photo taken on Horsepen Bayou!!

About as close as I ever get to the big guy and as close as I get to capturing them in flight as well! Great Blue Heron lifting off from a tree top on Horsepen Bayou! Added bonus is the dragon fly accidentally making an appearance in the scene!
