I am not much on the flora of Texas but this gorgeous tree in Washington State Park near Navasota Texas offered up a bit of beauty! The lovely lavender blossoms on the tree had attracted numerous bumble bees and one lone butterfly and all were busily attempting to get the most from the blossoms! I failed to do any of the bees justice, but the swallowtail butterfly managed to sit still long enough for a couple of shots!

Texas Bluebonnet!
I did manage to come across a few bluebonnets and such on my drive but just didn’t find any larger fields of flowers to photograph! Just a couple of offerings! I guess even a thistle can be beautiful!

Decided to check out the ruckus in the back yard and much to my surprise there were three Red-shouldered hawks in a heated discussion about the possession of what turned out to be nothing! One departed the scene before I could return and
S L O W L Y slide the kitchen window open and grab a few shots! Before I knew it the argument was over as quickly as it began and only one of the participants remained staring off into the trees! It was something a bit different for me!
