This particular Tri-colored Heron posed so beautifully for men and completely disregarded me floundering around in my canoe trying to get the shot! I managed to salvage these captures in spite of overexposing them quite badly! This Tri was very patient with me and so I backed off and left it resting on the old dead branches. Taken on Horsepen Bayou!

Seriously!!!!!
Have thought long and hard about with I am going to say and realize that some people will get offended! If that’s the case then so be it! My goal here on Flickr is to make friends! I don’t need 300 friends to make me feel good nor do I need 300 favs or 3,000 views to make my day! The fact is that I never look at the views or favs and look forward to the comments from my friends! If someone wants to play “Facebook” on Flickr then more power to them, but that is not the game that I am playing and you better find a different dancing partner! I don’t intend to see how many people I can call friend and then see how many times I can click fav in order to get someone to pick my photo as a fav! If you don’t have time to at least pause and leave a comment then don’t get involved! You destiny lies somewhere else and not in my photostream!
If you are trying to get my attention, then it is going to take more than a fav to do it! I might also add that I know that some of you have become very busy and are not able to stop by and I know who you are and I can totally respect that situation! You need not feel the least bit concerned!
I know I leave lengthy comments but I do not expect the same in return! I do expect a comment but not one that is the same and pasted into everyone photo just to fulfill a commitment! Unfortunately my way of doing things sometimes causes me problems as the clipboard in my computer fails me and I fail to catch the mistake! I apologize for that and will try to be more diligent with my replies! I attempt to make all of my comments relevant to your particular photo and always make it real! I keep a word document open at all times and write my comments as I am looking at your photo! I in no way expect the same from my contacts and some of you have a great way of letting me know that you’ve at least looked at the shot before you leave you comment and move on!
I only hope that each and every one of you understand where I am coming from and are not offended by my comments and I hope you understand! I will continue down this road and leave my comments but the fav game can be changed to “Like” and you can take it Facebook!

One of our resident spear fishermen from the bayou! A Tri-colored Heron searches for a snack along the edges of Horsepen Bayou! I liked the movement and the intensity in this one’s eye!
