I am guessing that it’s not quite right but you’ll get the eyedea! The truth is that this juvenile Tri-colored Heron should have been worried as I failed to control the canoe and almost ran over him! He will like have nightmares about some clown in a canoe running over him while he is foraging! He didn’t seem too upset by my inability to keep the bow of the canoe away from him! Photo was taken on Armand Bayou near Bay Area Park!

Captured this Tri-colored Heron on Horsepen Bayou in the mid day sun! Sort of liked the deep had shadows! I’ll try to get to everyone’s posts as soon as possible! Just returned home! Have a wonderful weekend!

Although some of the birds have moved on to their winter homes we are still left with a few bayou residents that continue to hunt and even at high tide! The juvenile Tri-colored Heron was floundering around on some floating vegetation close to the bank of the bayou! He initially had his back turned toward me and the bow of the canoe was fairly close to him! Thought that I might scare him off when he turned and walked toward the canoe and set up for quite a nice pose! Taken on Horsepen Bayou!
