Silverswords grow near the summit on Haleakala. A very rare plant.

This was one of the nicer looking silverswords growing at the top of Haleakala. It appeared that I was too late for the blooms as I didn't see any in that stage. It's truly a magnificent plant that clings to life on the cold dry and sun-drenched summit of Haleakala.
