It's a long shot of our illusive otter family. Spotted 3 otters on Horsepen Bayou, but they quickly vanished in the grass on the side of the bayou and never reappeared.

3 otter pups skirt the shore on Armand Bayou. I could hear them calling to the parents, but never saw the adults. Since I know very little about river otters, I have no guess as to the age of these 3 little guys. I suspect that since I am seeing them more often, that this little family might be making their home here, but have nothing to substantiate that theory. I'll definitely keep my eyes and ears open. They make a chirping sound somewhat similar to a bird and can be heard from quite a distance.
