It will take some time to catch up on everyone’s post and don’t know if I will have time to get around to all of them but will try over the next few days. I still have some painting and such to do on the kitchen and so will have more than one thing to take care of. Had just a marvelous Christmas and will eventually be showing off a new toy. I’m not expecting the sharpest of photos with it, but I expect to carry it around a with me to places where the bulky equipment would not go. It is a Panasonic DMC-FZ200 and while it doesn’t have the sensor capability of a large DSLR let’s hope it can get some off the cuff shots. It’s great to be back and hope that everyone is doing nicely and looking forward to the New Year.

Our friendly little mistress on Armand Bayou. Even though she appears to be really upset, this is one of the most approachable Ospreys that we have on Armand Bayou. If you can’t get a photo of this beautiful lady, then you better pack it up and go home. She is so very accommodating and very rarely protests. Taken on Armand Bayou near Bay Area Park.
A very strange occurrence on my last outing under heavy clouds. She had a fish and was really taking it apart as I approached. Couldn’t believe my eyes when she dropped the catch and flew away long before I got close to her.

I know that some of you have seen some fairly serious poses from this young lady on the bayou, but she really is a sweetheart and absolutely the most tolerant Osprey on either Armand Bayou or Horsepen Bayou. She has been perching very close to Bay Area Park this year and is normally very tolerant and will let you approach without even giving you a shout. Always fun to watch her preen and groom in the early morning light on Armand Bayou.

This Osprey soars over Horsepen Bayou with the catch of the hour. They have been somewhat distant this year, but things will improve. The trip to the Pioneer Flight Museum went well and hope to start going to the photos in a couple of days. I will need to make sure the bayou is still there tomorrow. Will most definitely try to catch up with my comments.
