Sorry for being absent for so long without an explanation and will try to give everyone an update.

Hope there’s a bit of humor locked away within this photo as well. I thought I saw a beast approaching from the left side of the photo and preparing to devour the observation platform in this scene. I do have a somewhat vivid imagination from time to time. Maybe you’ll see something different.

I’ve not logged on to Flickr much in the past as I have been occupied with several things around the house. I am now into the second month of my three-week project to rid my home of some termite damage that occurred prior to covid. I was not able to schedule the construction because of the problems that my wife was experiencing and so I had put it off. In a strange twist of circumstances, the insurance company contacted me about a week after Georgia’s passing and wanted to begin the work. I also have to add that the damage to the structure of the home was far greater than what they had anticipated that increased the amount of work that needed to be done.

Took them a while to begin, but we are no approaching two months with the work. I must also confess that the drawn-out schedule is not all their fault. I managed to have another run in with Covid and so 10 days were spent in quarantine for me and the construction crews could not come in to work on the repairs. I also ran into another issue with vertigo which happened in the middle of the night. Vertigo is not something you want to experience in your home when plastic dust barriers are hung everywhere throughout the house. It was a challenge trying to walk around like a drunk person without ripping all of the barriers down, but I managed to get through a couple of days before everything returned to normal.

Enough of the obstacles that I’ve managed to get around. I spoke to the construction manager today and we are looking at a completion date of July 5. I’m not holding my breath until all is said and done.

Sorry that I’ll not be able to comment until after that time. I desperately need to get away and do some paddling by myself and am to the point where I just might leave the camera at home as well and just go out to get away. I know it’s brutally hot out, but maybe some early morning trips just to get away are in order. I might also just pack up and head out for a much-needed vacation as well.

Wishing everyone all the best. Have a marvelous week.
No need to comment but I’ll leave the comment box on.
Peace
