Absolutely no way to approach across this great divide of water and not be detected. A young lady keeps a watchful eye of her fawn as well as the approaching canoe. Always ready to sound the alarm to flee if I get too close. The water was shallow in this part of the bayou and really no way to get closer and so a distant shot will have to suffice.
