Not my usual offering, but it will give some of you a look at what I use to obtain most of my shots on the bayou. The film clip is not mine and was sent to me by a company that used it in one of their productions. I don’t know how to give them credit for the video.
This is yours’ truly floundering around in the bayou and doing a bit of geeking for their cameras and for a documentary that they made about the bayou. This is my 16-foot-long Mad River Independence canoe that I use for getting around on the bayou. I’ve had the canoe for over 20 years and it’s still in pretty decent condition. I use a Wenonah bent shaft carbon fiber paddle to make my connection with the water.
This was filmed on Horsepen bayou where it straightens out a bit and runs parallel to Middlebrook Dr. If you continue up the bayou you would eventually pass under Middlebrook Drive and paddle behind University of Houston-Clear Lake.
