I hope that everyone can see the photo.
I first want to wish everyone a Happy Easter. Not certain that I will be around over the next few days and making comments. Happy Easter wishes coming your way in this sunrise on Armand Bayou.
The second thing is that I am not certain that my contacts are seeing my photos. The last photo that I posted received a few comments, but they stopped roughly 9 hours ago and so I have contacted the Flickr team once again and left them the message below. Not certain that I will be commenting as tomorrow is a busy day and Good Friday has some commitments as well. Happy Easter to everyone and I hope your weekend is filled with many blessings. Peace.

At least it’s not another alligator. This is a midday capture of my dock worker buddy at the put in point. He/she keeps an eye on all the happenings at the floating dock at Bay Area Park and is very approachable. Just a capture of a Snowy full frame with no crop.
No alligators were harmed in the making of this photo…LOL!!

The colors were quite impressive in the sky but is also enjoyed the different patterns and the movement in the clouds. Sunset captured at El. Franco Lee Park.

One pint sized peanut of a gator but given 50 or 60 years and he could end up being the size of Jack. Part of a bask of little lumpy lizards that stay close to their nesting place on Horsepen Bayou. This is in Alligator Alley and there are a number of small gators that like to sun themselves on the bank of the bayou in this area. This one is roughly 18 to 20 inches long.

The Brown Pelicans visit the bayou during the winter months when the alligators are not as active and don’t stay through the warmer months here on the bayou. Here we see the Pelican accessing the uropygial gland (oil gland) near the tail and spreading that oil over its feathers to keep them waterproof. Not much of a winter this year and some of the pelicans found out the hard way that those lumpy lizards hunt year-round. A Brown Pelican does a bit of preening while perched on an old tree limb lodged in the mud at the mouth of Horsepen Bayou.
