Eastern Gray Squirrel clinging to the bird feeder outside my kitchen window, maybe 2ft away, not more. Mostly he is upside down with his face in the feeder, but he came up ready to fight or flee when I made an inadvertent noise.
Must be a tough guy with that sliced ear.
