Pachydiplax longipennis, Cullinan Park, Sugar Land TX. I was not previously aware that there was an immature stage of big dragons. This guy’s thorax will turn fully blue, or has turned, if he has survived.
Dragonflies are no more endangered than the rest of us, but Friday will be a good day to remember Endangered Species, as is every other day.
